A five-year-old boy was murdered by his aunt in Fatehgarh and the assailant later misled the cops by lodging a report of his disappearance while in Ferozabad, a woman killed her husband before ending her life.

In Fatehgarh, Shailendra Singh and his wife Neeraj were living in New Fauji Colony in Fatehgarh and looked after his brother Brijendra’s five-year-old Yash as the latter’s family lived in Kallutilpur Nayagaon area of Etah.

On Saturday night, Yash urinated in the bed which agitated his aunt Neeraj after which she beat him with sticks causing grievous injuries and led to the boy’s death.

Fearing action, Neeraj called her father Ram Bahadur in Kamphil area. To remove evidence, Ram Bahadur put the body in a black bag and dumped it in the jungles on the fringes of his native village.

On Monday morning, Shailendra approached the local police station and complained that his nephew had gone missing. Subsequently, the cops recovered the body from the jungles. They later picked up Neeraj for quizzing, during which she broke down and confessed to the crime. The police later arrested her, her husband Shailendra and her father Ram Bahadur.

Elsewhere in Ferozabad, a 43-year-old woman killed her husband before shooting herself following a heated exchange in Fulvadi area of Dakshin police station area on Monday.

The couple’s two daughters told the police that their mother, Kusma Devi first shot their father Puran Singh Yadav (45) in the head and then shot herself after a heated exchange in the morning. The woman was rushed to district hospital and later to an Agra hospital where she succumbed to injuries. Two country-made revolvers were recovered and an investigation was on.

Meanwhile, a five-year-old girl was raped by her neighbour in Mainpuri’s Bewar area on Saturday. A case was registered and the accused was later arrested by the police.

Last Saturday, farm hand Nanhe Babu slept in the little girl’s house and in the wee hours sexually assaulted her. The injured victim was sent to Safai medical college by a local medical facility after providing initial treatment.

A case was registered on the basis of a complaint filed by the girl’s father and the accused was arrested.
