In the 64th National Rifle Shooting Championship-2021, women players performed brilliantly in the qualification round on Sunday.
Shruti Parihar, Sharanya Lakhan, Mantasha Akil, Yana Rathore, Ashlesha Sapre of MP performed well in the qualification in their respective categories.
The championship is being organized under the joint aegis of Sports and Youth Welfare Department and National Rifle Association of India at MP Shooting Academy, Bisankhedi from November 25 to December 10.
Shruti Parihar of MP Academy has secured the fourth position with 1147 marks in 50m rifle three position women's category.
In this category, Chetna Rahi of ITBP remains at the top with 1158 points. Army's Priya is second with 1157 marks and Railways' Savita Thakur is third with 1148 points. In 50m Rifle Three Position Junior Women's category Surbhi Bhardwaj Rapol of Telangana stood first with 1145 points, Ramita of Haryana came second with 1145 points and Mehek Jatana of Punjab stood third with 1143 points.
Madhya Pradesh's Sharanya Lakhan is eighth with 1128 points, Mantasha Akil is 15th with 1117 points, Yana Rathore is 20th with 1114 points and Ashlesha Sapre is 21st with 1109 points.
