A 35-year-old woman who had sustained burn injuries on October 6 succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment at hospital on Sunday; deceased got injured at her house at Ambedkar Nagar under Kamla Nagar police station area.
According to the police, the deceased Rekha Ghargoria sustained burn injuries at her house and was rushed to a nearby hospital and later she died during treatment.
In the initial investigation it was found that the deceased sustained burn injuries after a oil container fell over stove due to which she got injuries.
After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem and a case under section 174 of the CrPC was registered.
The reason of the fire could not be ascertained and would be investigated.
The condition of the deceased deteriorated on Saturday and she died late in the night on Sunday. During the investigation police found that the deceased was cooking at the time of the incident.
The husband of deceased after hearing her screams rushed to her rescue and sustained burn injuries in her hands. She was taken to hospital and where she died during the treatment.
Police said that the deceased died to burn injuries and would be investigated that she sustained injuries or she was set ablaze in the further investigation.
