Workshop on fire safety organised at BGH

A workshop on fire safety was conducted for the doctors and medical personnel working at Bokaro General Hospital by the Fire Services Department of BSL under Fire Safety Awareness Week. In the workshop, Chief Medical Officer (Medical and Health Services) Dr. Pankaj Sharma, General Manager (Fire Services) Rajesh Sharma, Assistant General Manager (Fire Services) SN Mishra along with other doctors and medical personnel of BGH were present following social distancing.

While addressing the doctors and medical personnel during the program, Dr. Pankaj Sharma stressed on the need to pay special attention to the maintenance of firefighting equipment, learning from the fire accidents in various hospitals of the country in the past years. Rajesh Sharma appealed to follow the laid down standards to deal with fire accidents in hospitals and ensure the instructions of fire safety audit.

Through a presentation by SN Mishra in the workshop, the necessary fire safety manuals in the hospital were given to doctors and medical personnel in detail. At the end of the workshop, firefighting equipment was performed live by the personnel of the Fire Services Department.
