Yono SBI–NLIU Corporate Law Moot’ 2021 competition concludes

Yono SBI – NLIU Corporate Law Moot, 2021 concluded on the virtual platform on Sunday.  The event was organised in  collaboration with Yono SBI as the official name partner along with Taxmann as the official research partner and The Indian Insolvency and Bankruptcy Law Post (TIIBLP) as the official knowledge partner.

The three-day event that began from Friday witnessed the participation of 24 teams from all across the country, including NLSIU, NALSAR, WBNUJS NLUJ and SLS. They all showcased their skills and brilliant performances. All the teams participated in the competition with great spirits owing to the absence of physical presence.The winner of the competition was National Law University, Tamil Nadu. The team won Prize Money of rs 21000. The runner up was National Law University, Odisha bagging the cash prize of rs 15000.

Best Speaker was Aditya Shete, ILS Pune with cash prize of rs 5000. Best Memorial Respondent was National Law University, Jodhpur winning cash prize of rs. 5000.

Best Memorial Petitioner was National Law University, Jodhpur and National Law University, Odisha with cas prize of rs 5000.

The judges for the final rounds were Justice S.J. Mukhopadhaya, Retired Judge, Supreme Court of India Justice Shekhar B. Saraf, Judge, Calcutta High Court Unnikrishnan A, Legal Adviser-in-charge, Legal Department, Reserve Bank of India. Justice Mukhopadhaya stated that he feel enlightened by judging this competition. He further mentioned that he always learn from the youngsters. They are fully energetic and there are many things that we may learn from them.

Justice Saraf stated that he loves to judge Moot Court Competitions and he is judging them even before he became a judge in the Calcutta High Court. He further mentioned that the participants

The Valedictory Ceremony concluded with the vote of thanks by the Convenor of Moot Court Association, Gokul Holani, he thanked all the dignitaries, special thanks to Faculty In charge Dr. Sanjay Yadav for guide, participants and students for joining the ceremony. He also thanked all the partners for collaborating to host such a wonderful competition.
