Shahjehanabad police have booked a youth for sexually assaulting, exploiting a 20-year-old girl by luring her of marriage ; victim lodged a complaint with police after accused forced to change her religion for marriage.
Police said both the accused and victim were acquainted and were in relationship for the past 5 years.
The victim in her complaint stated that she met Raja Khan over social media and after exchanging number the two later developed relationship and luring her of marriage accused sexually assaulted.After committing the heinous crime the accused assured that he would marry her and later continued to sexually exploit her for five years. In the month of March on 24 the two eloped and stayed in Delhi where the accused forced victim to change her religion to marry her as he could not marry her due to his belonging of other religion. The victim managed to reach Bhopal two days and lodged complaint with the police.
Later when the victim asked to marry the accused he refused and threatened her life if the victim informed to her family and police about the incident.Police have registered a case under sections 376 and 506 of the IPC and have started further investigation. The accused is yet to be arrested.
