You can mix colours and patterns. This will give that oomph look that you want but still remain stylish and authentic tht will have guests droll.
Do you live in a basement? Does the room make you feel stifled? Combine two mirrors to make fake a window. It brightens up the space and makes it feel bigger and it gives the feeling that you have a view.
Have an ugly stabiliser that is an eye sore in the drawing room? Worry not. Either place a green plant in front of it or better still place a small cabinet in front. Place knick-knacks on it with a small planter on the side. Or one can even put a table with a couple of locally purchased painting for a few bucks to cover up the area. A good stand alone lamp will do the trick as well. Enure you place it so the stabliser doesn’t show.
