lbsim’s 28th Memorial Lecture

The Lal Bahadur Shastri National Memorial Trust in collaboration with the Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management, Delhi organized the 28th Lal Bahadur Shastri Memorial lecture at the National Museum in New Delhi.

The 28th Lal Bahadur Shastri Memorial Lecture was delivered by the world’s prestigious spiritual leader and the founder of The Art of Living, Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar on spiritual values for peace and sustainability”

Shankar says “Spirituality is understanding your soul, your mind, your emotions and your intellect. if you’re not united with your being, neither can you be intelligent nor can your emotions be refined. The sharpness of mind comes totally when there is calmness within. The way to find the peace is meditation and that is what we called spirituality.”

He further adds, “ The wars are generated in the minds of people, not by the weapons. The source of war is mind. He said that the world would be a better place if countries spent even a small amount of the total expenditure of war materials on peace education. 

Anil Shastri, Holding Trustee of the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Memorial Trust said that everyone is yearning for peace because peace brings happiness and prosperity.

NIU organises TB awareness campaign

The Noida International University’s (NIU) School of Nursing recently organised a day-long campaign on Tuberculosis Awareness under the flagship of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan at the Primary Health Center of Dankaur, Uttar Pradesh. Nursing students under the supervision of Prof (Dr) Dinesh Kumar, Director, SON, NIU and Shikha Gupta, HOD Community Department of nursing participated in the campaign.

Unacademy Signs MoU with Delhi Police

Unacademy, India’s largest learning platform, today signed an MoU to empower in-service personnel of the Delhi Police and their children. The MoU was exchanged in the presence of Shri. Rakesh Asthana, IPS, Commissioner of Delhi Police. As per the MoU, it will conduct a series of aptitude tests over the course of the next four years to identify the meritorious children of Delhi Police employees and offer them free of cost study scholarships to prepare and crack exams.

IIIT-Delhi organises Annual event riise 2022

The Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIIT-Delhi) organized its annual event, Research, Innovation, and Incubation Showcase, (RIISE) on Friday, April 8, 2022 with eight key themes - Artificial Intelligence, Core Research, Cyber-Physical Systems, Design, Healthcare, Lab to Market/ Start-ups, Sustainability, and Technology as a Public Good.

This annual event provided an excellent platform to participants to explore the exciting research undertaken at the Institute along with an opportunity to network, collaborate and learn to create a better future. 400 plus students from across the country were offered with a chance to present their research work under one roof, and to seek new opportunities, such as to support a start-up idea or for collaborations. These poster presentations exemplified some of the brilliant research and innovations by these young minds, which have the potential to revolutionise the future.

“RIISE is a confluence of thought leaders, researchers, innovators and developers, who are passionate about bringing new advances in key areas,” says Prof Ranjan Bose, Director IIIT-Delhi.

IMS Noida organises Business Quiz

IMS Noida, department of PGDM & MIB Organized a "Business Quiz - named The Quiz Trivia for the students, the Aim to organize Business Quiz to give a platform to the students to analyse their knowledge and know their potential.

Questions were asked about current affairs, sports, management and business fields, politics, science, etc. Quiz competitions were designed as a way to test the business acumen of students in some or all domains, thus, providing them with the perfect opportunity to prove their mettle.

Dr Kulneet Suri, Senior Director of IMS Noida said,  As a management student, you should be well-versed in disciplines such as business, finance and human resources.

WWI’s APRIL ROUND OF ENTRANCE EXAMS

Whistling Woods International (WWI) has announced the dates for the April round of entrance examinations for its July 2022 intake. Aspirants can apply for various full-time degree, post-graduate, and diploma programs offered by the WWI Schools of Filmmaking, Creative Arts, Media Management, and Performing Arts.

The WWI programmes offered are under an agreement with Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (RGNIYD), an Institute of National Importance. The entire entrance examination process will be conducted online, to continue to ensure the safety of our applicants, amidst the ongoing pandemic. Following the registration, which will close on April 15, 2022, the online entrance examinations are scheduled to take place on April 19 & 20, 2022.
