Cybersecurity, AI & Deep Learning course

The Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, has signed an agreement with Times Professional Learning, to start PG Certificate Programme in Cybersecurity and PG Certificate Programme in Artificial Intelligence & Deep Learning. The programmes are intended to provide career enhancement and skill upgradation for working professionals as per the requirements of industry and the corporate world.

The courses are also aligned with The National Education Policy 2020’s directives to higher education institutes to play an active role not only in conducting research on disruptive technologies like AI but also create initial versions of instructional materials and courses including online courses.

The PG programme in Cybersecurity is an eight months course and is intended to provide career enhancement and skill upgradation as per the requirements of fast-moving job roles like network security specialist, cyber security analyst, cybersecurity architects, cyber security manager, and leading up to C-suite positions like Chief Information Security Officer. The demand for cybersecurity experts has doubled year amidst with rising global concerns of security breaches and rapid digitalisation across organisations and institutes.

Impact of Algorithmic Traders on stocks

The Indian Institute of Technology Madras researchers are studying the impact of Algorithmic Traders on the stock market. This research is the first-of-its-kind investigation on the impact of Proprietary Algorithmic Traders’ and Buy-side Algorithmic Traders’ trading on market quality and vice versa. It processes what happen when computer programs predict market order flow and take over the trading process.

High-end skills For Delhi Schools

The Camp K12 has announced its partnership with the Delhi Government to bring coding and high-end 21st century skills to Delhi Schools as part of the Government’s Schools of Specialized Excellence which seek to discover, foster, and nurture student ability, thereby enabling them to realise their full potential in specific domains.

The skills will provide an education focused around high end skills and entrepreneurship development that is relevant.

Strengthening schools with financing options

The Epheus Learning has signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Varthana Finance Private Ltd. Both companies share a common vision to democratise access to quality education and learning aids.

Under the strategic partnership, the two will use their respective networks to strengthen schools with financing options as well as a large catalog of education offerings. Such financial support will empower schools to expand their infrastructure, invest in teacher training, and introduce new learning methods into their classrooms.

Amit Kapoor, co-founder, Eupheus Learning, said: “We've been committed to transforming education system. With this MoU, we are taking another step in the direction to support and empower schools with a one-stop solution for their financial, operational and academic needs.”

Eupheus Learning focuses on premium and affordable private schools with a reach of 20,000 schools, 6,300 user schools and 4.2 million students. Through this MoU, Varthana's 4,000-plus school partners will get access to 21st century school OS and the largest catalog of educational offerings from Eupheus Learning.

Simplilearn Launches Campaign #JobGuaranteed 

Simplilearn has launched #JobGuaranteed. The campaign focuses on job guarantee programmes that assure a job upon course completion. The job guarantee offering focused in this campaign provides tangible and strong reasons for aspirants to select it to help them reach one’s ambitions and career goals.

The two programmes launched thus far in Data Science and Full Stack Development include a 100% job guarantee within 180 days of completing them (conditions apply).

This integrated campaign will be launched across multiple digital platforms, and print media.

Newage PG programme at Plaksha university

The Plaksha University's Technology Leaders Program (TLP) is a newage PG programme, designed by a global community of CEOs, entrepreneurs and academicians, for a world that is being transformed by technology. It is delivered in partnership with University of California, Berkeley.

Every year 60 young individuals with high potential are selected. They go through a rigorous one-year journey that helps develop them as leaders in technology and create the world we want to live in.

It interweaves four tracks:

  • Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Core
  • Design Thinking and applications of data science
  • Entrepreneurial Challenge Lab and Capstone project
  • Understanding Self and Leadership

Two cohorts of 60 students each have graduated from this program, and are working as data scientists, product managers and technology leaders. Some students have chosen the path of founding start-ups, others have gone on to study in top institutes globally. To be eligible, an applicant must be a recent graduate, working professional or entrepreneur.
