‘Insurance scheme for law students’

The Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU) has implemented an insurance scheme of Rs 1 lakh each for its undergraduate and postgraduate students as part of its comprehensive Campus Health Initiative (CHI), it was announced on Saturday.

The insurance         company will provide   cashless services in          hospitals with consultation fee and diagnostic test of  Rs 1 lakh, HNLU PRO Sangeeta Madan Rasaily Mishra said.

There is also a           provision for an additional buffer of Rs. 1 lakh if       students desire.

The policy covers all diseases including Covid-19 and its variants.

 In the case the insured obtains treatment from a non-network hospital, the actual expenses of           hospitalization or the upper limit of sum insured amount will be reimbursed to the beneficiary within 30 days of receipt of bills.

This scheme is     accommodated within the component of medical fee of the fee structure and not charged additionally to the students, the PRO said.
