‘Jal Mahotsav’ awarded as India’s unique water and Adventure Carnival

Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board’s annual Tourism Promotional event “Jal Mahotsav” has been internationally awarded as India’s unique water and Adventure Carnival on Friday in 26th edition of the Active Tourism Contest organized by FITUR in Spain together with AireLibre magazine.

The competition was organised to boost development and marketing in the tourism industry. It focuses on promoting products in adventure tourism, culture, nature, food and beverages, technology development, accessibility and the environment.

Speaking on the occasion Sheo Shekher Shukla  Principal Secretary, Tourism & Managing Director, Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board said- “It's a matter of great pride for us that out of 100 products which have been screened in the contest, annual promotional event of Madhya Pradesh Tourism “Jal Mahotsav” has been awarded as India’s unique water and Adventure Carnival.

We highly appreciate the contribution of tourism industry in various forms and aim to set new international standards in the field of hospitality and services with this Award.”

“Jal Mahotsav” offers sports and nature enthusiasts, a plethora of adventure activities to rejoice and to create memories with Hot Air Ballooning, Cycling, Cruise Boating, Water Parasailing, Para Motoring, Island Overnight Camping, Star Gazing, Bird Watching to name a few. It also promotes the Rural Tourism & Lifestyle of local community in the regionJal Mahotsav has also been awarded earlier as Most Innovative/Unique Tourism Product of year 2015-16 by Government of India, Ministry of Tourism in National Tourism Awards function.

Madhya Pradesh is a versatile State having variety of tourism products and activity filled tourist destinations, Wildlife safaris, natural scenic beauty, adventure activities, camping, water sports, cuisines, heritage, tribal culture, handicrafts, wellness and mindful tourism and many more things to explore and experience. The State has adopted Sustainable and Responsible Tourism practices at its Hotels and Destinations.
