‘Naveen best CM championing women’s causes’

Saturday, 28 May 2022 | RAJ KUMAR SHARMA | BRAJRAJNAGAR

Addressing a huge women’s gathering here on Thursday, BJD Mahila Morcha Campaign Committee coordinator Dipali Das said Naveen Patnaik is India's best Chief Minister and multiple awards have been accorded to him. Under Patnaik's rule, women of the State are safer and the law and order situation is much better.  Highlighted the initiatives undertaken by the BJD Government, Das said no other Chief Minister has done more for the causes of women than Patnaik.

She was speaking to mobilise support for BJD candidate Alka Mohanty for the Brajrajnagar Assembly by-election.

Dipali said thatunder the Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana, women of a family can get treatment costing up to ₹10 lakh in a year. With the BSKY card, people can avail quality healthcare in about 200 hospital chains in the country, including Odisha.

She also spoke about her grandfather's Narsing Bishnu Priya Trust's work to provide free ambulances to remote residents of the district.  Attacking the opposition parties, Dipali said Brajrajnagar people had given them an opportunity to represent this constituency, but they failed to bring any development to the region.

She said the BJP-led Government at the Centre is responsible for consistently increasing the fuel prices, due to which prices of all other commodities have been on the rise and poor and middleclass people are suffering for this.

Senior BJD leaders Pratap Jena, Sanjay Dasburma, Prasanna Acharya, Snehangini Chhuria, Pramila Mallick and Jyoti Panigrahi also addressed the gathering.
