While releasing the book ‘Sachha Hetuvadi Kahanku Kahiba,’ Prof Biswaranjan asserted, “Without annihilation of caste, we cannot have good and fearless rationalists in India.”
Caste and temple politics would be greatly minimised if more and more
youths come forward for casteless- dowry-less-priest-less love
marriages by simply exchanging garlands, he observed while
inaugurating a function organised by the AMOFOI.
The 48th Anniversary of Jati-Jatak-Jautuksunya Prem Sadi Andolan
(JJJPSA) was launched on June 9, 1974 by couple Swapna Bijayini and B Ramchandra CST Voltaire in the presence of Prof Radhamohan who had presided over the function held at N Guha Lane, Sambalpur. The AMOFOI organisation founded by the couple on December 10, 1980, has by now organised 9,718 priestless love marriages by exchange of garlands, AMOFOI secretary B Ramachandra CST Voltaire informed.
The function was graced by the chief guest Padmasri Sabarmati who has
made an excellent name in popularizing organic farming through her
organisation called “Sambav” in Nayagarh.
The other dignitaries including Prof Dhaneswar Sahoo, Associate Prof
of NIRMA, Ahmadabad, Gujarat Dr Hippu Salk Kristle Nathan, secretary of HRO Basanti Acharya, educationist Dr Ramesh Chandra Behera, MS Yadav of BSP, lawyer Arjun Samantaray and AMOFOI president Manas Jena spoke at length on the need for a Uniform Civil Code for all the
Indians.
Students of Government High School, Eranch, namely Laxmipriya Mohanty,Sonalika Ojha and Subhasmita Padhy were given memorial scholarships inthe names of Prof Radhamohan, noted headmaster Girish Chandra Patnaik and Biswachampa. Also, the greatness of former CM Nandini Satpathy was highlighted on the occasion of her 92nd Birthday.
