The 9th Annual Function of Vyasanagar Senior Citizens’ Forum was observed on Wednesday here. Forum president Upendranath Beuria chaired.
Attending as chief guest Korai MLA Ashok Bal said if the old parents are knowingly neglected, then the society will be in danger. He advised everyone to be physically and mentally fit.
Attending in it as chief speaker, Kalinganagar ADM Santosh Kumar Mishra advised the senior citizens to keep mental peace by thinking that the rest of the days are the best days for them. VN Municipality Chairperson Sangita Pingua, Vice-Chairman Subash Bal attended as guests.
Secretary of the forum Chandramani Samal read the annual report while working president Dr Nrusingh Charan Parida co-ordinated. Among others Councillor Manidra Sahoo, Ghanashyam Rout, Kamal Lochan Sahoo, Arjun Sahoo, Kamalini Samal, Kumudini Rout, Yoga Guru Bata K Pradhan, Dhruba Charan Kar, Nikunja B were present. Journalist Dushmanta Rout, social workers Hemant Dhir and Rajesh Rout were felicitated for their outstanding services. Advisor Loknath Rout gave vote of thanks.
