Tuesday, 09 August 2022 | PNS | Ranchi

In a historic moment for the State with a first of its kind of event, around ten thousand student got felicitation in mega State-level student talent award ceremony organized by Private School and Children Welfare Association (PASWA) at Harivansh Tana Bhagat Stadium in Khelgaon in the State Capital on Monday.

State Finance Minister, Dr Rameshwar Oraon, Padma Shri Mukund Nayak, PASWA National Chief, Syed Shamayel Ahmed and the State Chief, Alok Kumar Dubey awarded the students performed well in 10th and 12th examinations conducted by CBSE, ICSE and JACK Board. PASWA State Vice president, Lal Kishorenath Shadeo and Rajesh Gupta were also present on the occasion.

During the function, the students of class 10th and 12th, who topped in examinations in various board examinations, were rewarded with cash money and medals and citations, while students who scored 80 per cent or more were awarded with medals and citations.

Addressing the huge crowd of students, parents, teachers and members of school management on the occasion, Oraon said that for the first time in Jharkhand, the State level student talent award ceremony was organized on such a large scale. He said that this was the first unique event of its own in Jharkhand to encourage the students. He said that in his life, he had never seen this program being organized to honour the students on such a large scale in Jharkhand, but by organizing such a grand event on behalf of PASWA an example has been set before the State.

“The purpose of this programme is mainly to encourage such talented students who could not become the top, but they also have hidden talent, that is why these children may not succeed in getting their name in toppers list but the way they scored 80 percentile and above it shows their talent and their success should not be underestimated in any sense, it is the children who will work to create new records in future. Toppers are limited in any examination, but due to various reasons, students who fail to become toppers by scoring some marks, they have to be encouraged so that these children can also become toppers in future,” said Oraon.

Ahmed said that within a year under State Chief Dubey's leadership the organization has raised the voice of students, parents and teachers and private school operators in the direction of improving the quality of education. Speaking on the occasion Dubey said that for the first time in the 22 years of the formation of the separate Jharkhand, such a large-scale State level function was organized to honour the students, possibly this would be the biggest event across the Country to honour the students.
