11 held for selling liquor on dry day

Chhattisgarh Police arrested 11 persons including six women for selling liquor on Wednesday, a dry day on account of Republic Day, in Bilaspur city.

Bilaspur Senior Superintendent of Police Parul Mathur identified the women as Parul Chaudhary, Usha Sahu, Anjali Banshkar, Reshma Meharia, Bharati Vanshkar and Parvati Vanshkar along with Prakash Patel alias Sonu, Sem Bhai Basod, Kishan Vanshkar, Raghunath Vanshkar alias Raghu and Santosh Vanshkar, all from Bandhwapara.

Police seized a total of 90 liters of India Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) and country-made liquor valued at Rs 50,000 from them.
