A class 12th student was allegedly shot dead by unidentified assailants in Southeast Delhi’s Jamia Nagar area. Police said that they are scanning CCTV cameras in the area to identify the culprits.
According to a senior police official, on Friday, a PCR call regarding a boy being shot near Azeem dairy was received at Jamia Nagar police station.
“The victim was taken to Holy Family Hospital where doctors declared him brought dead,” said the senior police official. “Victim’s brother, Asif, told police that at the time of incident he was in the house, and after hearing gunshot when Asif came out, he found that his younger brother was lying injured on the road. He took his brother to hospital,” said the senior police official.
“People residing nearby have been examined and legal action is being taken accordingly,” said police, adding that further investigation is going on. SR
