Under the aegis of National Legal Services Authority (NALSA), Jharkhand High Court legal services committee organized national Lok Adalat on Saturday in the premises of High Court, Ranchi. Pending matters related to writ, pension, motor accident claims, land dispute and compoundable and criminal matters etc were taken up in the National Lok Adalat. Four benches of Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad, Justice SN Pathak , Justice SK Dwivedi and Justice Deepak Roshan constituted for National Lok Adalat. Altogether 160 matters including pre-litigation matters got disposed off in National Lok Adalat. Total amount of Rs 1.5 crore (appx) also got settled.
Despite a busy schedule, Jharkhand High Court Chief Justice and patron in chief, Jhalsa Dr Ravi Ranjan observed the functioning of the benches of the national Lok Adalat. Chief Justice, conferred the benefits of legal rights of the beneficiaries in the National Lok Adalat. Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad, judge of Jharkhand High Court and chairman of the High Court Legal Services Committee, Ranchi expressed his thanks to the Chief Justice, judges , advocates, officers and all others who participated in the national Lok Adalat.
The National Lok Adalat was also organized at Jhalsa, where there were 290478 cases which includes 247042 Prelitigation disposal and 43436 pending disposal cases. At the Jhalsa, amounts of Rs 3465369059 were settled.
