Police here on Thursday arrested two fraudsters on the charge of duping youths under the guise of providing them jobs in the Mahindra company.
The arrested were identified as Basant Lal alias Alok (24) of Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh and Mohammad Aslam alias Raj (28) of Muradgang village under the Rasaoigang police station in Kannouj district, also in UP.
Police seized Rs 20.000, four mobile phones, advertisement papers, receipt books from their office at Beharmal in Jharsuguda.
Jharsuguda SP Rahul Jain said the accused were collecting Rs 2,000 as registration charge from the youths assuring them to provide jobs.
Many youths of Sambalpur, Bargarh, Subarnapur, Deogarh and Jharsuguda districts were duped by them. However, after a complaint was lodged at the Town police station by one Santilata Sahu, police started an investigation and arrested the two accused.
