The State registered 61 new Covid-19 positive cases on Friday in eight districts and the State pool, taking the total tally to 12,89,129. Among the newly-infected were three children in the age group of 0 to 18 years.
Notably, the State had recorded 73 cases on Friday. While 36 infections were reported from the quarantine, 25 were local contacts. Khordha reported the day’s highest 36 cases followed by Cuttack with seven, Sundargarh five and Bhadrak, Balangir, Jagatsinghpur, Puri and Rayagada one each. Besides, eight cases were reported from the State Pool.
The active cases numbered 391. So far, 9,162 patients have succumbed to the disease and 12,79,559 have recovered.
