67-yr-old Ganjam school has no HM

Thursday, 26 May 2022 | PNS | CHHATRAPUR

A 67- year-old educational institution, Bharati Vidyapeeth, in Ganjam NAC is now reeling under acute shortage of teaching staff. For quite a long time, the school has not a permanent headmaster also.

It is one of the oldest high schools of the locality, established in the year 1955. The NCC wing of the school was withdrawn some years back. At present the school has only 12 teachers for about 200 students.

In the year 2011, the school had celebrated the Golden Jubilee. The then Governor of Odisha was the chief guest on the occasion. Though the various problems of the school were brought to the attention of the authorities, nothing concrete came out during the last two years, said a guardian.
