AAP offers free advocate in Ankita Bhandari murder case

Tuesday, 27 September 2022 | PNS | DEHRADUN

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders said that the party is ready to advocate in the murder case of Ankita Bhandari in court till the victim gets the justice. In a Press conference here on Monday, the head of the State Legal Wing of the party, Arvind Verma said that the case needs a strong representation in court against the accused that have strong connection with powerful people and AAP is ready to fight the case in every court for free to bring the criminals to justice. The state coordinator of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Jot Singh Bisht also stated that it is unfortunate how BJP’s state presidner Mahendra Bhatt is accusing opposition parties and others of spreading rumours about the murder case when the party’s own members and organisations like National Women Commission (NWC), Uttarakhand State Women Commission (USWC), Women Empowerment & Child Development (WECD) department and BJP Mahila Morcha have not said a single word on the brutal murder of Uttarakhand’s daughter. He said that this incident occurred under the Yamkeshwar constituency of Pauri district where BJP has won elections five times with women contestants and yet, no voices are being raised by any prominent BJP leader against such heinous crime. Rather than raising their voices, the party demolished a part of the resort where the victim worked without any valid order to destroy any potential evidence available there to save their own party members, said Bisht. He said that AAP will continue to make efforts to ensure the victim and her family get justice.
