After a lul, night temperatures dip below 6 degree in Umaria, the lowest in Madhya Pradesh

After a little lull phase of moderate cold conditions the night temperatures dip below 6 degree celsius in the state which was recorded at 5.8 degree celsius in Umaria.

State has started witnessing foggy conditions after the weather changed in the past two days.

Among the nearby districts Raisen recorded 7.6 degree celsius in the night while Nowgong also recorded the same temperature in the night.

Gwalior among the major cities was the coldest at 7.2 degree celsius. Datia recorded 6.9 degree celsius and Guna recorded 8.2 degree celsius in the night.

Shahdol division recorded a significant dip in night temperatures while Indore, Ujjain and Narmadapuram divisions recorded significant increase in temperatures from normal temperatures. The Met has issued an alert that Chattarpur, Morena, Gwalior and Tikamgarh would witness moderate fog in the next 24 hours.

The state capital has witnessed cold weather conditions, still moderate at 13.6 degree celsius in the night and 25.6 degree celsius in the day. Both day and night temperatures were recorded below normal temperatures which were harsher, still bearable.

The temperatures witnessed significant change in the past 24 hours after active systems impacted the weather conditions.

The Met said that due to the northern winds coming from the Himalayas, fluctuations in temperature are being seen across the state . It is estimated to remain like this for the next 72 hours but after that the temperatures would witness change.

With the change in the weather conditions cold wave conditions which were witnessed at few places would not be witnessed in the next 24 hours.
