After the transfer of deputy commissioner excise flying squad Indore division Sanjay Tiwari the liquor smugglers are taking full advantage of the absence of officers as there is is no assistant commissioner excise in Indore district.
The absence of two important post i.e DCE flying squadIndore division and ACE in Indore district is a boon for liquor smugglers. Sources said around four trucks of country made liquor are entering into Indore district every day and is unloaded at the country made liquor godown of Indore off the record and from here it is being circulated in different shops which are at the highways location including the banganga country made liquor shop and Rajendra Nagar country made liquaor shop etc.
Sources say the cost of one truck of country made liquor on the record cost Rs 20 lakh per truck but the off the record truck cost Rs 10 lakh per truck. Besides these the smuggling is going on in Indore city area and Indore rural area and the smugglers have set up different illegal points and according to sources around 50 illegal sale point of illegal liquor is connected to one licensed shop and there arearound 180 licensed shops in entire Indore district which results into 9000 illegal sale point of liquor in entire Indore district which are fully functional in the absence of d c excise flying squad and ace Indore.
Besides these licenses shops there are bars also running which are not following the governmentguidelines of opening and closing and the stock of the bars and licensed shops is not verified by the excise officers daily after the transfer of the deputy commissioner excise Sanjay Tiwari and ace Raj Narayan soni.
Mhow tehsil sanwer tehsil depalpur tehsil and Hatod tehsil is fully under the grip of liquor smugglers. During the tenure of ACE Sanjay Tiwari frequent trap of smugglers was done every day but after his transfer no smugglers is caught till date by the excise department. Interestingly the post of DC Excise and AC Excise is vacant for more than two weeks but the government is still not sending any officers in Indore.
