Days after Sandeep Singh alias Kekda was arrested for allegedly carrying out recce before Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala was killed, he was thrashed inside Muktsar jail. The responsibility for thrashing Kekda has officially been claimed by Bambiha gang — a rival group of Lawrence Bishnoi gang which is accused of killing the globally-renowned Punjabi rapper.

Kekda, who has now been shifted to Goindwal Sahib jail, was reportedly thrashed by Bambiha gang members in Muktsar jail about four days ago. The police and staff’s timely intervention succeeded in thwarting any untoward incident.

A resident of Kalanwali in Haryana’s Sirsa district, Kekda was sent to Muktsar jail after his police remand was over. To his misfortune, the already imprisoned members of Bambiha gang thrashed him.

On knowing this, the jail officials immediately shifted the crab to the jail of Goindwal Sahib. While the Bambiha gang on Sunday took the responsibility of brutally beating Kekda through the social media; the jail administration claimed that there was some argument between the two parties, and the same was immediately resolved.

The Bambiha group, in the social media post, claimed that its member Bhalla Bathinda and his friends gave a good thrashing to Kekda who conducted Moosewala’s recce for a very little money. It added that they attacked Kekda with the intention of killing him, but jail staff intervened and saved him.

The group also declared that its members would not spare any colleague or associate of “Sidhu Moosewala’s killer” in whichever jail they were lodged. It also declared that each and every individual will have to pay the price.

During the investigations, it has been revealed that Kekda, on the directions of Canada-based gangsters Goldy Brar and Sachin Thapan, had kept tab on the singer’s movements by impersonating himself as his fan. Kekda also clicked selfies with the singer, when the latter was leaving from his home minutes before his murder.

“Kekda has shared all the inputs like the singer was not accompanied by his security personnel, number of occupants, vehicle details, and he is travelling in non-bullet-proof vehicle Mahindra Thar, with the shooters and handlers operating from abroad,” said the ADGP, Anti-Gangster Task Force, Pramod Ban.
