The Bhanja Sena staged a massive demonstration here on Wednesday against what they called the Government's continuous indifference towards the district. The demonstrators raised their voice on issues like lack of development of tourist sites of Mayurbhanj and growing unemployment in the district, etc.
The demonstration held in front of the District Collectorate was led by the organisation's district president Pintu Maiti. Many Bhanjasena leaders including Satyaswarup Das, Nimain Tripathy, Chandana Das, Mohammed Ali Khan, Rakesh Mohanry, Bajun Hansdah, Ramjan Baig and Rakesh Behera were seen actively taking part in it.
Later, Bhanja Sena founder Kalinga Keshari Jena, addressing a Press meet here, warned the Government of intensifying the agitation further if the Government does not change its step-motherly attitude towards Mayurbhanj.
