The BJP would gherao the Assembly on December 2 to protest the State Government’s apathy towards farmers. Despite 13 days of the party’s Satyagraha before the Assembly demanding justice to farmers and repeated demand by BJP MLAs for discussion on the farmers’ issues in the House, the BJD Government has not paid any heed. The Chief Minister is not coming to the Assembly, alleged BJP State secretary Prithviraj Harichandan.
Former MP Rudranarayan Pany alleged that while farmers are fighting for their dues across the State, the State Government is staying least concerned. The farmers would be the cause behind the downfall of the BJD Government, he warned.
Among others, Opposition Chief Whip Mohan Majhi, Bhaskar Madhei, Sanatan Bijuli and Naba Charan Majhi addressed the farmers.
