BSP announced 6 more candidates, changes two

Bahujan Samaj Party national president Mayawati, who is trying to form the government again in Uttar Pradesh, announced six more candidates for the assembly elections on Thursday.

The tickets of some candidates already announced have also been changed. Earlier she had announced 51 candidates. Till now she has announced 117 candidates. Of these candidates, 41 belong to the Muslim community.

Even before the nomination for the UP assembly elections, many BSP candidates are facing setbacks. The BSP has changed candidates for Dhampur seat in Bijnor and Kundarki seat in Moradabad.

In the list of candidates released by the party, Moolchand Chauhan has been given a ticket from Dhampur in Bijnor. Earlier, the party had made Kamal Ahmed its candidate from there.

At the same time, the party has declared Mohammad Rizwan as the its candidate in place of Haji Chandbabu Malik from Kundarki assembly seat of Bareilly.

BSP has fielded Yusuf Khan from Nawabganj in Bareilly. Shalini Singh from Faridpur reserved seat of Bareilly, Brimanand Sharma from Bareilly and Chandraketu Maurya from Dadraul assembly seat of Shahjahanpur.

Releasing the list of candidates, party's national general secretary Mevalal Gautam said that the list of candidates was released for the second phase of elections on January 22. He said some changes had been made in it and a new list was being issued.
