The efforts of Mhow SDM Akshat Jain for giving better medical facilities achieved a milestone as the old community health centre building in the tribal block Manpur of Mhow tehsil was renovated as state of the art nutrition rehabilitation centre NRC at the cost of Rs 50 lakh with the help of public participation and public donation.
In this NRC children with severe acute malnutrition SAM will be admitted and managed. In this NRC building the facility of 20 beds are available besides this staff office, breast feeding room, toys room, kitchen and store room a kitchen garden and for the physical activity a playground is also prepared for the children. The children below 5 years age will be admitted in this NRC who are malnourished and have medical complexities and will be given free medical support and food facility by the government.
The mother of the undernourished children admitted in the NRC will also be trained for the overalldevelopment and also for the food preparation facility for the undernourished children. It is to be noted that this NRC is the biggest NRC in entire MP which is located in the tribal belt of MP.
Minister Usha Thakur inaugurated this new building of NRC which is located in the premises of great tribal iconTantya Mama Bheel community health centre Manpur.
