The Transport Department in Chhattisgarh is providing 22 transport related services to the people at their doorsteps under the 'Tunhar Sarkar Tuhar Dwar' scheme.
An official communication said the facility saves both time and money of the applicants as they no longer have to visit department offices multiple times to get their work done.
Under this facility, 11,85,460 smart card-based registration certificates and driving licenses have been delivered to the homes of applicants from June 2021 to July 2022.
These include 7,95,054 registration certificates and 3,90,406 driving licenses.
Transport Minister Mohammad Akbar is personally ensuring proper implementation of the scheme.
The Department has issued a helpline number 75808-08030 to make the service more accessible. People can call this number between 10 am and 5.30 pm on all working days.
