The Chhattisgarh government on Tuesday signed two MoUs for setting up an ethanol production plant as well as a drone and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) manufacturing unit.
The MoUs were signed at the Chhattisgarh Business Summit at India the International Trade Fair in New Delhi.
The event was organized for business, entrepreneurs and exporters from electronics, minor forest produce, handicrafts and handlooms.
Rajesh Gautam of NKJ Biofuel, Durg, signed the MoU with the state government for setting up the ethanol production plant in the cooperative sector with an investment of Rs 140 crores.
Manish Bajpai of Daybest Research Pvt Ltd inked MoU for drone and UAV manufacturing units with an investment of Rs 50.95 crore.
Throwing light on the industrial possibilities in Chhattisgarh, Labour Minister Shiv Dharaiya encouraged entrepreneurs to invest in the state.
He said the new industrial policy provided various exemptions, incentives and benefits to manufacturers interested in setting up units in the state.
Commerce and Industries Special Secretary Him Shikhar Gupta said the state government had made provision for special packages, concessions to prioritize agriculture, forest-based industries and single window system clearance.
The rules for establishment and operation of industries have been simplified, he added.
