Chairman, Coal India Limited(CIL), Pramod Agrawal chaired a review meeting of Central Coalfields Limited(CCL) at its headquarters in Ranchi, Jharkhand on Sunday. One of the agendas of the meeting was to increase supply of coal to the power plants, situated in various states of the country. He also reviewed the implementation of the Enterprise Resource Planning(ERP) in the company so that the stakeholders get benefitted from this new system.
Chairman cum Managing Director (CMD), CCL, PM Prasad, CMD, CMPDIL, Manoj Kumar, Director Technical and Operations, Ram Baboo Prasad, Director Technical(P&P), SK Gomasta, Director(Finance), PK Mishra, General Managers and HoDs of various departments attended the meeting. Area General Managers were connected via video conferencing.
Agrawal reviewed the performance of the company with all Area GMs of mining areas and issued necessary instructions to increase the production in remaining period of ongoing FY Year 2022-23.He Agrawal expressed confidence that CCL will attain the desired target of the current fiscal and asked each Area GMs to meet their targets of respective areas. He also asked the management of CCL to ensure uninterrupted supply of coal to the power plants.
Prasad briefed him on performance and related issues.
Jharkhand based subsidiary of CIL- CCL is carrying out mining activities in eight districts of Jharkhand and meeting the energy of the Nation. Mining sector contributes around 2 per cent to India’s GDP.
