CIL Chairman holds review meeting of CCL, CMPDI

Coal India Limited (CIL), Chairman, Pramod Agarwal on Tuesday presided over a review meeting of Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) at CCL Darbhanga House, Ranchi.

 

CCL, a Jharkhand-based subsidiary of Coal India, has produced all-time high coal production of 68.85 Million Tonnes (MT) in the last fiscal 2021-22 since its inception in 1975. In the ongoing fiscal 2022-23, CCL has a target of 76 MT of coal production.

 

Agarwal in his review meeting took stock of progress of each mining area of the company particularly Amrapali-Chandragupta, Magadh-Sanghmitra and Piparwar which contributes significant output in total coal production of the company.

 

The Chairman also took stock of the status of First Mile Connectivity (FMC) Projects of North Urimari, Konar, KDH-Purnadih, Kotre-Basantpur-Pachmo Open-cast mine, Chandragupta and Sanghmitra. FMC projects will be replacing road transport of coal from pitheads to dispatch points with mechanised systems like conveyor belts to decrease the transportation time.

 

CMD CCL, PM Prasad explained the present status of coal production in mining areas through a powerpoint presentation. Prasad also informed him that the company is supplying coal to power plants situated in various parts of the country uninterruptedly.

 

Director (Tech and Operations), RB Prasad, Director Technical (P and P), SK Gomasta, Director (Personnel), HN Mishra, CVO, SK Sinha, Technical Secretary to Chairman, CIL, MK Singh, TS to CMD, CCL, Alok Kumar Singh, GMs of various departments and were present.

 

CCL has proven coal reserves of 25 BT in command areas and it is committed to meet energy requirements of the Nation.

 

Meanwhile, Chairman, CIL, Pramod Agrawal, on Tuesday, reviewed the performance of CMPDI, at its headquarter, Ranchi. Director (T/RD&T), RN Jha briefed about the performance of CMPDI including Drilling, Seismic Survey works, Drone Applications in Various Coal and Non-Coal Sectors, Status of E-auction work, MDO Projects Project Monitoring Consultancy services in Civil and Solar sector, Draft Policy Framework for Private parties setting up Coal Washeries and others.

 

Agrawal praised the work done by CMPDI and stressed on Project Management Consultancy services related works outside CIL as well.

 

Agrawal also laid foundation stone for 94 Bedded/ Rooms New Hostel building at Indian Institute of Coal Management (IICM), Ranchi which will be equipped with state of the art Modern and green features.

 

On this occasion, CMD, CCL, PM Prasad, Director (T/CRD), SK Gomasta, Director (T/ES), Shankar Nagachari, CVO, Sumeet Kumar Sinha, Sr Advisor (Mining) of CMPDI, AK Rana and GMs, HoDs of various departments were present .
