Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel also has talent for chess. This came to the fore on Thursday when he      provided chess tips to      players at a state-level     tournament in Jagdalpur.

“The most important thing to keep in mind while playing chess is predicting the next move of the      opponent," he told the     budding players.

The Chief Minister shared checkmate tips with young brothers Manas Tiwari and Priyansh Tiwari who were playing against each other.

The two were immersed in planning their next move. When the Chief Minister approached them, he said to Manas: "You are looking at me while your camel is gone."

The Chief Minister's remark put a smile on   everyone's face, including the two brothers. Baghel also stopped and looked at the game played by Avni Jena and Adnan.

Baghel attentively gazed at the chessboard for some time and advised Priyansh to move his minister          forward.

The Chief Minister was told that the four children are state chess players. He praised them and encouraged them to play well.

Baghel told the children that chess is an ancient game of India and it engages the mind. It’s the best game for mental development.

There have been some great chess players from India in the past, he said. There are countless possibilities open for you, he added.
