Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has sought a report from the Home Department regarding the Noida case where a resident misbehaved with a woman and even pushed her.
The chief minister has asked officials to carry out a detailed investigation into the incident and suggested that a stern action be taken against the accused.
He even said that action should be taken against the guilty policemen who supported the accused.
An inspector in-charge, one sub-inspector and four constables have been suspended in the case and investigation is underway.
Yogi has issued instructions directing officers to take strict action in crimes related to women.
A government spokesman said that as soon as the video of the Noida case went viral on social media, the police initiated immediate action and registered a case against the accused and formed teams to arrest him.
ADG (Law and Order) Prashant Kumar said that special teams had been formed to arrest the main accused.
The Noida police have also announced a reward on the arrest of the accused.
Every person visiting the society is being screened. Two PSOs (personal security officers) have also been provided for the protection of the victim.
