CM spends day out with tribals in Naxal heartland Sukma

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Wednesday announced to upgrade Naxal heartland Jagargunda and Dornapal as tehsils on requests of local tribal population who thronged to interact with him on the first day of his Bhent-Mulaqat drive in Bastar region.

Baghel made a slew of announcements during his daylong trip to the forested areas in Sukma which are known for Maoist strongholds since late 1980s.

He also announced     construction of a sports ground in Dubbatota, a mini stadium at Errabore and an entrance gate on the inter-state border of Chhattisgarh.

The Chief Minister  started his second phase public interaction drive (Bhent-Mulaqat Abhiyan) from Konta assembly        constituency of Bastar      division.

On reaching Konta, before his scheduled events, he prayed at the Shri Ram Lingeshwara temple.

During the interaction with people at Konta Nagar Panchayat premises, Baghel made several key     announcements to speed up development in Sukma      district that shares a border with Telangana.

He vowed to establish electricity sub-stations at Bandagaon and Jagargunda of Konta block, expand the 30-bed Konta Community Health Centre (Hospital) to 50 beds and to construct quarters for doctors and staff posted in CHC.

Later, he inspected the Konta Community Health Centre and sought details of health services provided to the patients and status of availability of medicines.

The Chief Minister   interacted with an elderly patient, Muchaki Budhra, by sitting beside him and inquired about his health. He asked hospital authorities to ensure better treatment.

He later handed over  forest land right recognition certificates to 291               beneficiaries under the Konta assembly                   constituency.

He inaugurated the Police Officer's Mess in Sukma. On the occasion, he was given a Guard of Honour at the Police Lines in Sukma.

In forested interior Chhindgarh, he dedicated a Swami Atmanand School. He announced to upgrade Tongpal as Tehsil, upgrade Talnar and Kikirpal High School to Higher Secondary School, electricity               sub-station at Kukanar, a 50-bed hospital in Chhindgarh and Rs 20 lakh for the restoration of Musariya Mata Temple.
