CM unfurls national flag in Dumka

Chief Minister Hemant Soren hoisted the national flag at the 73rd Republic Day celebrations held in Dumka and inspected the attractive parade and saluted the flag. On this occasion, the CM paid tributes to the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, and great personalities of Jharkhand, Bhagwan Birsa Munda, Tilka Manjhi, Veer Shaheed Sido-Kanhu, Chand- Bhairav, Phoolo-Jhano, Veer Budhu Bhagat, Jatra Tana Bhagat, Nilambar Pitambar, Sheikh Bhikhari, Pandey Ganpat Rai and Shaheed Vishwanath Shahdev. He extended his greetings and best wishes to the security forces personnel and the people of the State on Republic Day.

The CM said that according to the provisions of the Constitution, the government is working fast towards ensuring all round development of the State and maximum welfare of the people. He said that in a democratic system, the rights of the people can be secured and everyone should get equal rights and opportunities for development, this is a special priority of the government. He said that the government has made continuous efforts for development in many areas in a short span of time. With the cooperation of all people, the government is working towards providing clean, transparent and sensitive administration. “Äll of us together should create an atmosphere of stability, peace and harmony in the State and with our creativity and positive energy, give speed and height to the maximum progress and progress of the State,” said the CM.

He further said that the government is sensitive towards education in the State, several model schools are being developed in the State and scholarship schemes have also been started for students to get higher education in other countries. He said that recruitment processes have been expedited in the State and even in the private sector 75 per cent reservation for locals has been ensured.

The CM, counting the achievements and works of the government in last two years referred to the new schemes and projects launched by the government. These include bonus on paddy procurement, increasing Mandays under MGNREGA, empowerment of rural women through various schemes, new irrigation projects, road projects across the State, Universal pension scheme, new Industry policy, Sona-Sobran Dhoti Saree scheme, Insurance scheme for scribes, Sarkaar Aapke Dwar programme, reservation for Jharkhand revolutionaries,  Petrol subsidy scheme for ration card holders among others.
