Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan planted saplings of Ashoka, Kachnar and Harsingar in the Smart City Garden. The students of Government Kamla Nehru Girls College, Balaghat, who came to Bhopal on an educational tour, participated in sapling plantation. Along with Chief Minister Chouhan, Sangeeta Nellore, Abhilasha Yadav, Vandana Telang and Uma Soni of Nellore Shiksha Samiti (Nellore Education Committee) also planted saplings.
The Samiti operates the Yashoda Old Age Home in Bhopal.
Activities are also conducted regarding assistance to needy children in education and other activities, cleanliness and environment-protection. Along with Chief Minister Chouhan, yoga teacher Bhavisha Solanki also planted a sapling. Bhavisha has played an important role during the Corona period in conducting Yoga se Nirog programme and in providing guidance for Yoga exercises to the people affected by Corona from the Command and Control Centre Bhopal.
