A Principal of a college here who had been duped of Rs 8,84,999 by cyber frauds and had lodged a complaint in the Cyber police station here ten days ago, has got back Rs 8,60,000 in his SBI account with the effort of the Rourkela Cyber Crime and Economic Offence Wing.
The Rourkela Cyber police are now trying to nab the concerned frauds.
Principal Paresh Chandra Pradhan had complained that he received a message from mobile phone No. 9163713079 to his mobile No. 9937107002 on June 1 informing him that his SBI, YONO and Net banking would be blocked today and sent a link. He proceeded with the link and thereafter he got OTP and shared the OTP.
Total Rs 8,84,999 was deducted/debited from his account.
