Thursday, 20 January 2022 | Staff Reporter | RAIPUR

Chhattisgarh Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain on Wednesday said works of greater public interest should be compulsorily completed within the stipulated time limit.

He was virtually chairing a meeting of senior officials to review the outline and implementation status of flagship schemes of the state government.

These mainly relate to housing and environment, revenue, forest, home, urban administration, sports and youth welfare, skill development and employment, commerce and industry.

Jain asked officials to organize a virtual event to release the first installment under the ‘Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Bhoomiheen Krishi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana’ to the rural landless labourers.

Under the Chhattisgarh Employment Mission, a special action plan should be prepared to provide employment opportunities in the production and service sector.

A draft should be prepared for collection of data of beneficiaries under various schemes and programmes. It would help for phase-wise time-bound implementation of the schemes, he said.

The Chief Secretary asked the officials to assess the revenue earned on free holding the lease-hold land of the urban body. In case of profit, further action can be initiated.

The first lottery of 65,000 houses for allotment under ‘Affordable Housing in Partnership’ scheme should be held at Raipur and Divisional headquarters simultaneously.

The rules for regularization of unauthorized construction and commercial shops in residential areas have been simplified. A fine should be fixed up to Rs 5,000 for the approval of layout feet in the town and country planning area, he said.

The Chief Secretary called for a campaign for settlement of cases of name change, demarcation, partition and diversion.
