Covid-19 cases continue to increase in U’khand

The state health department reported 255 new cases of Covid-19 and death of one patient from the disease in Uttarakhand on Saturday. Death of one patient was reported from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh on the day. The authorities also announced the recovery of 234 patients from the disease on Saturday. 

 The department has so far detected 1,01,090  new cases of the disease from January 1 this year till date. A total of 95,954 patients have recovered from the disease so far in this year. The recovery percentage of the disease was at 94.92 per cent on Saturday. A total of 308 patients have lost their lives to the disease this year in the state. 

 The health department reported 107 new patients from Dehradun, 50 from Nainital, 27 from Rudraprayag, 15 each from Pauri and Udham Singh Nagar, 11 from Haridwar, six each from Almora and Bageshwar, five each from Chamoli and Uttarkashi, four from Pithoragarh and two each from Champawat and Tehri on Saturday. 

 There are 1227 active patients of Covid- 19 in the state now. Dehradun with 579  cases is at the top of the table of active cases in the state.
