Culture department still negligent on Kishore Kumar award ceremony on October 13

Sunday, 02 October 2022 | PNS | KHANDWA

The  Department of Culture of the state government is still negligent about the Kishore Kumar award ceremony to be held on October 13 on the death anniversary of Kishorekumar, playback singer and all-rounder artist.

Till date no name of any celebrity has not been announced by the Department of Culture for Kishorekumar award.

Rather, the Lata award in Indore was announced on time and the award ceremony was also organized, but the Kishore Kumar award  ceremony to be held in the name of Kishore Da of Khandwa, the Culture Department has not even been able to make the outline, this ceremony was delayed due to Lok Sabha and Corona pandemic in the past.

But this year there no election in Khandwa and Corona has almost come to an end, but even then no initiative has been taken by the administration.

Earlier this honor was organized in Bhopal and given to the artists and lyricists of the film world, but at that time Harsud's MLA and Minister Vijay Shah, while deciding not to organize the program in Bhopal, organized this program in Khandwa since then the program has been held in Khandwa.

Forest Minister Vijay Shah had earlier said that Kishore Kumar Samman should also be given to people associated with singing.

For the last several years, this honor has not been given to any singer, while the award ceremony is given in the name of playback singer Kishore Kumar.

In fact, due to Covid-19 for the last 2 years, the National Kishore Kumar Award has not been organized. Cancel this honor for those who cannot come to Khandwa to accept it.
