A three- day face- to- face residential Master Trainers’ Training programme in Community Based Participatory Research (CBPR), organised by the Central University of Odisha (CUO) and sponsored by the University Grants Commission, New Delhi, concluded on Thursday.
The programme was conducted under the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (2.0) of the Union Ministry of Education.
Speaking at the concluding session, Vice Chancellor I/c of CUO Prof SK Palita congratulated all the 32 participants as well as the UGC subject experts and resource persons for making the programme successful.
Prof Rajesh Tandon, UGC Subject Expert, shared his three days experience with the participants and praised the cooperation of the village people of Koraput. Binoy Acharya, Director, UNNATI, also shared his experience and hoped that the experts will render their service regularly through the programme. Dr Kamal Bijlani, member, UGC Expert Group, stressed the need for community participation.
Participants from each State gave their feedback in the programme. Deputy Secretary, UGC, Dr Diksha Rajput congratulated the CUO and the participants. Coordinator of East Zone CBPR Programme and Head I/c Department of Education Dr Ramendra Parhi presented a report on the programme. Assistant Professor of CUO Dr Debabrata Panda proposed the vote of thanks and Assistant Professor Dr Minati Sahoo coordinated.
