DC fiat to remove encroachment, minimise traffic jams

In an attempt to minimise the problem of traffic jams in Kantatoli area of the State Capital, Ranchi Deputy Commissioner (DC), Chhavi Ranjan on Saturday instructed to widen the road and he also instructed the officials of the Municipal Corporation to remove the illegal shops.

During a meeting of Road Safety Committee was organized under the chairmanship of Ranjan. In the meeting organized concerned officials of all departments including District Transport Officer, Ranchi were present.

In the meeting, the compliance of the agenda presented by the District Transport Officer, (DTO), Praveen Prakash was reviewed by the DC and necessary directions were given to the concerned officials.

In the meeting of the Road Safety Committee, the accident data was presented and the suggestion to reduce the accident was reviewed, accordingly, compliance was directed after review.

Apart from this, the DTO was apprised about the entire process for getting compensation to the families of the injured and dead persons in the hit and run case. Along with this, a request was made to make public representatives and members aware to make the general public aware of such matters.

NHAI was instructed by the DC that all the illegal cuts in front of the petrol pump of Ranchi should be given notice by NHAI. RCD was instructed to make speed breakers near ESIC Namkum in 15 days. The DTO was asked to work on Black Spot.

In the meeting, the traffic DSP talked about counseling those who break the traffic rules by setting a time. Also, the DTO said about counseling of drivers of heavy vehicles.

Executive Engineer of NHAI, Motor Inspector, Ranchi, Health Department personnel, NGO Ranchi, Bus Arns and Road Safety Officer DRSM Mr. Jamal Ashraf Khan, Road Engineer Mr. Gaurav Kumar were present in the meeting.

Meanwhile, the work of linking farmers with 100 per cent Kisan Credit Card (KCC) is going on fast. Ranjan held a meeting on Saturday regarding its review. In the meeting, he found that many applications have been rejected.

Ranjan expressed displeasure over the rejection of a large number of applications. Instructing those banks by which more applications have been rejected, he said that unless there is a strong region, do not reject the application. He said that the shortcomings found in the application forms should be classified so that their compliance can be done from the block level.

Work on the Government's ambitious Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana to benefit more and more farmers.

In the review meeting, the DC found that there is a difference in the receipt of application as per the application provided by the block to the banks and the report received from the banks. The DC directed all the senior officers to make available the report by reconciling the applications sent block wise, bank wise and branch wise, coordinating with the block and banks.
