Delhi Government is fearing Sisodia’s arrest now, says BJP

Thursday, 29 September 2022 | Staff Reporter | NEW DELHI

Lambasting Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, the Leader of Opposition Ramvir Singh Bidhuri on Wednesday said that crores of rupees have been swindled in the liquor policy scam and that’s why he is now expressing the possibility of Sisodia’s arrest.

Bidhuri alleged that Kejriwal’s image has been dented after the liquor scam and now he is portraying himself as a victim to get sympathy ahead of the Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh Assembly polls.

Bidhuri said that the CBI and the ED are probing the case and arrests have started. If evidence is found against Sisodia, then he will also be arrested. “The investigative agencies will not stop their work because of the babble of Kejriwal or other AAP leaders,” he said.

Bidhuri said that the things which have come to light following the arrest of Vijay Nair are shocking. Nair was responsible for taking money from liquor contractors, while it is believed that the liquor businessman Sameer Mahendru actively participated in making the liquor policy and implementing it.

“After his arrest, the name of Sisodia is also included in the other people who are feared to be arrested. In such a situation, the apprehension of the arrest of Sisodia by the leaders of the AAP, including Kejriwal, also suggests that they have also come to know that now all the evidence of the scam of thousands of crores is coming to the fore. That is why they themselves are now expressing the possibility of arresting Sisodia,” Bidhuri added.
