EDMC to adopt PPP model for betterment of health facilities

East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC) is all set to adopt the ‘Public Private Partnership’ (PPP) model to provide laboratory and imaging services at its existing health facilities to visiting patients at subsidized rates.

The move is taken to provide health care to the citizens of Trans Yamuna area to fulfill its commitment to provide ‘health for all’, a senior EDMC official said.

The charges for the facilities will be less than CGHS Delhi/ AIIMS rates), the EDMC officials said, adding that 20 per cent patients will be  provided such services free of cost  on production of ‘Below Poverty Level’ cards.

The EDMC has identified its four health facilities namely Swami Dayanand Hospital Dilshad Garden , Veer Savarkar Arogya Sansthan Karawal Nagar , Lala Bulaki Das Poly Clinic Shahdara and SPM Chest Hospital  Patparganj  as collection centers for lab services and pick up and drop points for imaging services.
