Saturday, 28 May 2022 | Staff Reporter | JAGDALPUR

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Friday said that the efforts of his government to provide work to people in Bastar were delivering       positive results and helping to combat Naxalism in the region.

Baghel said this at a press conference in Jagdalpur.

The Naxalite menace could be solved by winning the trust of local tribals, he said, adding that the Chhattisgarh government was increasing the job options for youths and arranging them livelihood. This is the only way to end Naxalism, he said.

The income of villagers here has increased. That is why the Naxalites have failed to get new recruitment, the Chief Minister said.

“Bastar is moving towards a big change and people are now demanding colleges, Atmanand English Schools and hostels."
