Under the three-tier Panchayat Election 2022, in the second phase, the voting in Jaridih, Kasmar and Bermo blocks of the district was completed in a peaceful atmosphere on Thursday. 

There is no report of any untoward incident from anywhere during the Panchayat election. In all three blocks till 3 pm, 72.27 percent voting was done in Jaridih block, 75.19 percent in Kasmar while 56.34 percent in Bermo block.

As per official sources voters were queuing at several polling stations till the time of filing of the report, they were exercising their franchise.

As the temperature of the season rose up to 42 degrees celsius, the voting percentage also increased in the same way. As a result, the vote percentage in the district increased as the day progressed.  In the voting, great enthusiasm was seen among the elderly, disabled, male and female voters.

District Election Officer (Panchayat) cum Deputy Commissioner Kuldeep Chaudhary said that 31 model polling stations were made in the elections held in all the three blocks. Voters were welcomed with flowers, garlands at Adarsh polling stations,added DEO cum DC.

However,  fruity etc were distributed among them and voters were also welcomed by laying red, green carpets at the polling stations. Meanwhile Anganwadi workers were tagged to bring Divyang voters to the polling booth. Volunteers were assisted by the police personnel and anganwadi workers at the polling stations for the differently abled voters. 

DEO cum DC said that along with men, women, differently-abled, old age voters also cast their votes with enthusiasm.  Due to the large number of preventive actions taken before the elections, the elections were conducted peacefully.  Tight security arrangements were made at all the polling stations.

The DC thanked all the voters, polling personnel and office bearers for the fair elections. He said that people have played their part on election day as per the dignity of Bokaro. The enthusiasm of the voters was visible in all the polling stations since morning.

It may be mentioned that for the successful conduct of polling, 593 polling teams were constituted for a total of 593 polling stations.  There are a total 02 lakh 25 thousand 780 voters in Jaridih, Kasmar and Bermo blocks. In this, the total number of male voters is 1,15,932 and the total number of female voters is 1,09,848.
