The family of a child, Pratyaksha, on Wednesday thanked Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel here for launching the Khoobchand Baghel Health Scheme which helped him to get back his eyesight.
As Pratyaksh was growing, it was observed that he was unable to see properly. His mother Nilavati Rathiya was grief stricken. The family from Gharghoda was unable to bear the fees charged by private doctors.
When Pratyaksh was three years old, his mother took him to the Mukhyamantri Haat Bazaar Clinic in their village.
She learnt that her son was suffering from cataract and that he could get free treatment under the Khoobchand Baghel Health Scheme.
Pratyaksh’s eyes did get operated under the scheme and he regained his sight. The overjoyed boy's family trooped to the Bhent Mulaqat programme (public interaction) in Gharghoda to offer their sincere thanks to the Chief Minister.
