A major fire broke out at the Keshari Mall in premises of the Market Building here on Sunday. However, no casualty was reported.
According to reports, the fire erupted in the first and second floors of the shopping mall. The exact reason behind the mishap was yet to be ascertained.
Fire Service personnel were pressed into action to douse the flames.
City Mayor Sulochana Das visited the mall to take stock of the situation. She said a probe would be made to know the cause of the fire.
It was for the second time that a fire mishap was reported from the Keshari Mall. On April 16, a major fire had burnt properties worth lakhs to ashes at the mall.
